Children's Worship is held during our worship services

A Nurturing Nursery

For our youngest lambs we offer a nursery for infants through age three. The nursery is staffed with volunteers and a part-time paid staff caregiver. Our nursery is equipped with a silent pager system where parents can take a pager to Sunday School or Worship for that extra peace of mind. The nursery is available during Sunday School and Worship and is located downstairs across from our pre-school classroom.

Children and Worship

While we believe young children should be included in Sunday Worship. We also believe children need to understand who God is in order to learn reverence for God. Our main goal in our Children's Worship, and our Jr. Worship program is to meet the needs of our children.

Children are dismissed from the Worship Center early during the worship service to attend either Children's Worship (K-2nd grade) or Jr. Worship (3rd & 4th grades). Jr. Worship is not held on Communion Sunday's, as children in 3rd & 4th grades remain in the Worship Center with their parents.

Children will learn that worship is to experience and praise God. The experience of God in worship leads to knowledge of God, which will be gained by their participation during worship time.

Parts of Worship: Prayer, Scripture, Praise Songs, Drama, & other activities incorporate this time together.

Pre-School Worship

A pre-school class for children ages 3 & 4 is also offered during worship. Children may be taken directly to this classroom before worship. Children will spend time learning about God while also getting use to being in a structured environment. Working within the pre-school attention span offers a limited worship time of about 15-20 minutes, with the remainder of the time left for children to do other activities or play.
